TRADE INFRASTRUCTURE FOR EXPORT SCHEME (TIES)
The New Scheme of Government of India- 'Trade Infrastructure for Export Scheme (TIES)' replaces the erstwhile Central Government’s Assistance to States for Development of Export Infrastructure and Allied Activities (ASIDE) scheme to support funding of export infrastructure across States. The Scheme is to assist in the creation of modern infrastructure for exporters across States, like setting up and upgradation of infrastructure projects with export linkages like Border Haats, Land customs stations, quality testing and certification labs, cold chains, trade promotion centers, dry ports, export warehousing and packaging, SEZs and ports/airports cargo terminuses. The Scheme lays thrust on last and first-mile connectivity projects related to export logistics. The Central and State Agencies, including Export Promotion Councils, Commodities Boards, SEZ Authorities and Apex Trade Bodies recognized under the EXIM policy of the Government of India are eligible for financial support under this scheme.
